Turkish company builds woodworking factory in Tatarstan

Turkish company Kastamonu intends to build a second order of its high-capacity woodworking plant in the Special Economic Zone located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The company will invest 130 m euro in its construction.




The first order of the modern production enterprise was put into operation in the “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone in September last year, the company’s press office told Construction.ru on Wednesday. The project was estimated at $300 bln.

This will allow for the production of 565,000 m2 of MDF boards and 20m m2 of laminate.

The construction of the second order started in 2015, and at the end of the first quarter of 2016 the test equipment start-up was carried out.

The total amount of investment in the project will reach 400m euro.
