Russian President Vladimir Putin has excluded the Bashneft oil company from the list of strategic enterprises and has given permission for the state's share in the company, 50% + 1 share, to be sold.
The corresponding decree was published on Tuesday on the official website of legal information.
Commenting on this document, the head of the Ministry for Economic Development of Russia, Alexey Ulyukaev, told reporters in Moscow that the technical possibilities for Bashneft’s privatization will become available as early as the first half of this year, since this is one of three assets which is ready for sale.
