New harbor station and a pier are planned to be constructed in the Korsakov seaport, located on Sakhalin, a large Russian island in the North Pacific Ocean, until the end of 2017.
Front and engineering work will have been carried out by the middle of June, the press office of governor of the Sakhalin region told Construction.RU on Tuesday.
Now a fish cluster is under construction in the seaport town of Korsakov. This facility is intended for fish processing and products storage, as well as ship repairing and other activities.
Geologic and hydrologic researches are scheduled to be conducted from June to August this year, the project preparation are expected to be finished by September. After that, the construction work will start and will last until the end of the next year.
