Within the framework of the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg, a deal on the construction of a unique environment-friendly unit was signed on Sunday.
The plant is planned to be built in the Volgodonsk district, located in the Rostov region of Russia.
The unit is designed to sort and process solid municipal and industrial wastes, the press office of the Rostov region’s administration told Construction.RU on Monday.
The projects also includes establishing of a landfill site for unreclaimable wastes, optimization of a logistic scheme for wastes collection and transportation, as well as the construction of a waste transfer station.
Investments are estimated at 961,7 m roubles, half of the sum will be allocated from the local budget, the rest will be financed at the investor’s expense. 220 new jobs are expected to be created at the enterprise.
