Russian PM Medvedev signs a decree to establish large priority development area

As it became known on Wednesday, Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, signed a decree establishing “Yurga” priority development area in the Kemerovo region.




This is what Dmitry Medvedev said at a government session, the press office of the Cabinet reported. According to Russian PM, a new priority development area is being created with the purpose to develop a same-name town.

This measure will allow to attract additional investments and increase tax revenues for the local budget. Besides of that, over 2,000 of new jobs will be created, which will not be connected with the activity of town-forming enterprise, “Yurga Machine-Building Factory”.

Moreover, the decree determines the borders of “Yurga” priority development area, types of economic activity and the minimum volume of investments of the residents.
