At present, Russia and Turkey are discussing the simultaneous construction of two gas pipelines within the framework of the “Turkish Stream” project, Russian Energy Minister, Alexander Novak told on Friday in a TV interview in Moscow.

According to Alexander Novak, the first run of the pipeline with a capacity of 15,75 bln cubic meters of gas is planned to deliver gas to Turkish consumers. The second one will pass through the whole territory of Turkey and is intended to supply the southwestern countries of Europe.

We should remind you that renewal of the “Turkish Stream” project was negotiated over the course of the Turkish governmental delegation’s visit to Moscow that took place last week. Then, Head of the Energy Ministry of Russia and Economy Minister of Turkey agreed to set up a working group engaged in the project’s implementation.
