On the 4th of August, there was an explosion in a household located in Vernon, the north-central part of Connecticut, having injured seven people, including a child, and ruined the building, Fox News reports.
Firefighters were called to the house at about 4:15 p.m. According to the police, all victims were in the home when the blast occurred.
Three of the injured managed to get out of the ruins by themselves, whereas the others had been trapped inside the toppled building and were extricated just as the rescue team arrived. One of the victims was a 10-year old boy, all of them were taken to hospital.
The local authorities initiated investigation, the cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
