Within the framework of the state program, the government of the Sverdlovsk region decided to allocate 40m roubles for eight modern cinema theatres, which are planned to be put into operation in 2016.




The objects will operate in the towns with the population of at least 100,000 people, The Culture Minister of the Sverdlovsk region, Pavel Krekov, said on Monday.

“This year the project of opening of cinema theatres in small towns of Russia is being implemented. We received the funds for eight areas, 5m roubles for each of them. This will allow to have advanced cinema in the places, where it has never been previously”, - said Krekov on Monday over the course of a press conference at the Interfax press center.

Since the beginning of the year, the cinema theatres have been opened in three cities – in Artyomovsk, Tavda and Verkhnyaya Salda. Late in August the forth cinema theatre will be opened in Kamyshlov.
