Over the course of April and June, Irland's construction industry has seen growth by 6.3%, compared with the beginning of the year, Rte.ie reports.
This data was provided by the Central Statistics Office. According to its estimates, the leap was observed in all key areas of the construction sector: the growth of the volume of residential building amounted to 10.5%, non-residential construction increased by 8.1% and civil engineering work saw growth of 4.2%.
However, the increase in the value of production for all building and construction between the 2nd quarter amounted to 6.2%, whereas annually the volume of output in this area grows by 16.5% in the 2nd quarter.
