Construction of the first in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) plant owned by Bridgestone Japanese company, which is the world’s largest manufacturer of tires, has been officially completed.

The project has been nursed over the course of three years. In 2013, the investors made a decision to build tyre works in “Zavolzhye” industrial park and accepted a package of benefits offered to them by the authorities of the Ulyanovsk region located in the southeastern part of European Russia. In 2014, the corner stone was laid in the future enterprise and now Bridgestone's representatives announce that the plant is completed.

A volume of investments made by Bridgestone jointly with its strategic partner, Mitsubishi Corporation, totals 12,5 bln roubles. Eight hundred jobs are planned to be created at the enterprise. Over 120 craftsmen, who will work at the plant, have already undertaken an internship in Japan.
