Henkel, headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany, built its first in the Caucasus factory producing dry construction mixes and glue materials, which are planned to be realized in Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Central Asian states.
“The Georgian government has a very ambitious projects for modernization of the country’s infrastructure in the near four years. From this perspective, development of the construction sector is becoming increasingly important. I suppose, the factory’s opening coincided with the starting point, from which we start to progress very quickly in this direction,” said on Wednesday Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, at an opening ceremony.
Henkel invested $8m in construction and equipment of the factory, which is to release over 40 kinds of products under the brand of Ceresit.
