Construction of a high-capacity greenhouse complex producing vegetables started in the Republic of Buryatia located in the Siberian Federal District of Russia.
Next year, production of tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, herbaceous crops and other goods will be launched, the press office of the regional government told Construction.RU.
According to the project, three greenhouse complexes are planned to be built on a plot of land with an area of 10 hectares. The facilities’ capacity will amount to over 6,000 tons of basic vegetable crops.
The corresponding agreement between the Government of the Republic of Buryatia and an investor has been signed in June this year.
As a reference, the key components of the republic's economy include wheat, vegetables, potatoes, timber, leather, graphite and textiles.
