Kremlin announces President Putin’s visit to Turkey

On the 10th of October, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the 23rd International Energy Congress in Istanbul, the Kremlin’s press office announced on Friday.

Over the course of the event, Vladimir Putin will hold meetings with the head of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and Turkish President Recep Erdogan. The parties intend to discuss issues related to Syrian conflict and normalization of Russia-Turkish relations.

“The President’s meeting at the summit level with another guest is also planned within the framework of this international congress. The matter concerns Venezuelan President Maduro. And, of course, the talks will be held with president Erdogan,” Russian President’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, unveiled the plans of Vladimir Putin for Monday.
