Building infrastructure of Vostochny Cosmodrome's second phase will cost 100 billion roubles, First Deputy of Russian Construction Ministry and Chairman of inter-departmental commission coordinating works over Vostochny Cosmodrome establishment, Leonid Stavitsky, told reporters.
“The stage of design and survey work hasn't been completed yet, after it is finished, it will be possible to determine exact figures. However, the approximate cost of construction of infrastructure facilities of the Vostochny Cosmodrome's second phase is about 100 billion roubles,” said Leonid Stavitsky.
According to him, this work will be carried out within the framework of the federal targeted program entitled “The Development of Cosmodromes and Ensuring Space Activities of the Russian Federation in 2017 – 2025”.
As a reference, since 2012, Vostochny Cosmodrome has being under construction near Tsiolkovsky town located in the Amur region.
