CITIC Construction, a Chinese contractor, says that it plans to invest £200 million in the first phase of the £1.7bn London Royal Albert Docks project, headed by the Chinese developer ABP, BBC reports on the 11th of November.

In its turn, British Government pledges to allocate over £40m in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank headquartered in Beijing for the purpose of rendering assistance to developing countries with their infrastructure programs.

The statement was made on the 10th of November during a visit of the Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai to London. According to Ma Kai, a “golden era” of relations between two countries is expected and a number of deals are to be concluded.
