Street named after the head of the government Dmitry Medvedev will emerge in Palestinian town of Jericho, the President of Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, announced on Friday.
“Dear friend, I thank you for funding the events on reconstruction of Jericho’s historic center. In this connection, in some time we will officially open the street named after you,” Mahmoud Abbas said at a press conference following the negotiations with Dmitry Medvedev, who arrived in Palestinian territories.
Yesterday, the head of Russian government stuff, Sergei Prikhodko, announced that Russia would hand over to Palestinian National Authority a multifunctional business and cultural center in Bethlehem. The facility was built at the expense of Russian businessmen.
