File of criminal investigation regarding the head of the Russian city of Tambov, Yury Rogachyov, who had previously held an office of the head of Znamensk regional administration, has been forwarded to Russian Investigative Committee, the press office of the Tambov regional department of the Federal Security Service of Russia (the FSB) announced on Thursday.
According to the statement, his actions involve elements of the offence under article 285, part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code – abuse of power.
Also, the press office reports that the Tambov regional department of the FSB initiated a criminal case against a director at Stroi-Line LLC, Ordi Shamoyan, on suspicion of embezzlement of 118 billion roubles allocated from the budget of Znamensk region to road construction.
“It was established that in 2017, within the performance of two municipal contracts for roads repair in Borozda and Mikhailovka villages of Znamensk region by Stroi-Line LLC, an amount of 118 million rubles has been embezzled. Forged accounting documents were submitted to the local administration regarding the volume and cost of the works, with reasonable expenses being overstated and without fulfilling obligations,” the official statement reads.
