Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and Vietnamese President, Tran Dai Quang, discussed the issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation.
In particular, two leaders noted that over 20 project estimated at $10 billion are being currently worked out, a spokesman for Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, said.
Apart from that, a Russian-Vietnamese investment platform was set up with investment amount of $500 million on each part. This investment platform is planned to include specific projects.
According to Dmitry Peskov, tourism development issues have also been addressed at the meeting. The parties noted that in 2015 about 340,000 Russian tourists visited Vietnam. Moreover, many Vietnamese study in higher education institutes on the territory of Russia and both Presidents agreed that the number of students from Vietnam should be increased.
