The Blagoveshchensk city court, Russia, sentenced the director of a construction company to nine months imprisonment for embezzling of more than 850 thousand rubles during the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome located in the Amur region, the regional Prosecutor's office reports on Monday.
“The court established that the director of "Stroitel" LLC, Ivan Chopozov, appropriated funds in the amount of 850 thousand rubles belonging to Dalspetsstroy federal state enterprise at Federal Special Construction Agency. After that, he made off with the money,” the statement reads.
Ivan Chopozov was detained in the Republic of Belarus in autumn 2015, after what he was extradited to the Russian party.
