Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation determined a deadline for signing an agreement on building the nuclear power plant on the territory of Egypt.
The Corporation expects to conclude the contract by the end of the year 2016. This is what the head of the world’s largest nuclear corporation, Dmitry Likhachev, told reporters on Tuesday in the Moscow regional Gorki town.
In addition, Dmitry Likhachev specified that the matter concerned a full package of documents and accompanying agreements, including those regarding the supply of nuclear fuel for reactors and its eventual disposal.
On the 19th of November, 2015, Russia and Egypt signed in Cairo an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of construction upon Russian technologies and exploitation of the first Egyptian NPP situated in El Dabaa in the Mediterranean Sea.
