The first all-season greenhouse complex, built in the area of eternal frost, opened on the 7th of December in Syrdakh village located in Yakutia, the Republic in the Russia Far East.

Now, the residents are provided with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and greens of local production.

“This is the first Yakut-Japanese joint project in the field of agriculture and industrial complex. Such greenhouse will be in great demand, since the local town dwellers are in short supply of fresh vegetables due to absence of quality products,” Prime Minister of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, Yevgeny Chekin, told reporters.

Advanced Japanese technologies have been applied at the greenhouse construction. For example, a special 3-layer tape withstanding temperature of down to minus 100 degrees was installed on the roof.
