The capacity of housing construction within the framework of transfer hubs construction in Moscow amounts to about 6 million square meters, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on urban policy and construction, Marat Khusnullin, said on Monday.
“Areas located near major transfer hubs are of great interest among investors. In fact, these are new points of growth and development of the city”, - said Marat Khusnullin.
According to him, the capacity of only housing construction within the framework of transfer hubs in Moscow amounts to about 6 million sq. m.
“By allowing investors to build housing on the territories adjacent to transport hubs, we help them to offset the cost of building infrastructure of the transfer hubs, which is expensive,” he added.
Marat Khusnullin pointed out that projects of transfer hubs construction envisage building commercial real estate, such as office buildings, apartments, shopping and entertainment facilities, office and business complexes, hotels and others.
The program of transfer hubs construction involves building 169 major hubs in Moscow and the development of adjacent areas of about 3 hectares.
