The authorities of Crimea intend to generate about 2 million rubles ($32 million) from selling nationalized assets, previously belonging to Privat Group owned by Ukrainian billionaire, Ihor Kolomoyskyi, the head of the Republic, Sergey Aksyonov, told reporters on Tueasday.

“In 2017, we plan proceeds from selling Kolomoyskyi’s assets in amount of 2 billion rubles,” Mr. Aksyonov said.

According to him, the proceeds in the full amount will be allotted to compensation payment to Crimean residents, who had deposits in Ukrainian banks exceeding 700,000 rubles.

Sergey Aksyonov pointed out that even if the assets were sold at a minimum price, the realized sum would be enough to compensate all deposits.
