EU pledges to grant €100m to Ukraine for Energy Efficiency Fund

Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Energy Union, Maros Sefcovic, said over the course of a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Prime Minister, Volodymyr Groysman, that the EU was ready to allocate to Ukraine 100 million euro intended for the Fund of Energy Efficiency.




Maros Sefcovic assured me that the EU bolstered the efforts made by the government to reform Ukrainian energy sector. Vice-President of the European Commission also informed about the EU readiness to allocate 100 million euro to Ukraine for the purpose to fill the Fund of Energy Efficiency. At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian parliament had to adopt laws on the Fund of Energy Efficiency, as well as on electric energy market, regulator in the field of energy and public utilities,” the Ukrainian press office announced following the results of the conversation.
