Collapse of a multi-storey building in Tehran, the capital city of Iran, has left at least 75 people injured, the state Iranian TV station reports on Thursday. All injured, among whom there are 45 firemen, are brought to hospital.




Earlier, Press TV Iranian television channel announced that 30 firemen became victims of collapse of a 17-storey trade center “Plasko”. It was noted that between 50 and 100 people might remain under the ruins.

Fire in the building, which is one of the oldest high-rise structures in Tehran, broke out early in the morning on Thursday. Over the course of several hours, the fireman had been struggling to deal with fire, however, the building collapsed.

As a reference, “Plasko” trade center was built in 1962.
