The government of the Russian city of St Petersburg and Gazprom PJSC are working over an issue of establishing an Arctic cluster, Governor Georgy Poltavchenko announced.
“I will reveal a bit of a secret to you: together with Gazprom we are working hard over the establishment of a so-called “Arctic cluster.” The main goal of it is to aggregate all possibilities of the city, its enterprises, scientific institutions, development laboratories for the creation of a modern equipment, machinery for exploration of Arctic shelf,” the Governor told reporters on Saturday.
According to Georgy Poltavchenko, Gazprom will be a key commissioner.
“Alexey Miller (Chairman of Gazprom’s Board – editor’s note) is interested in it,” he added.
