Construction of a wall on the border between the USA and Mexico, which was initiated by the US President Donald Trump, might be financed at the expense of a 20-percent tax on import of Mexican commodities, Interfax reports on Friday.
The tax is planned to be imposed within the framework of a broader reform of tax legislation, the White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced. He explained that a 20% tax was offered by Donald Trump.
According to the White House’s representative, the tax on import from Mexico might generate up to $10 billion annually. This sum would be enough to build the wall.
Sean Spicer informed that the President would include this measure to the tax reforms package.
