A factory for oriented strand board (OSB) production, “Talion Arbour”, has opened in Torzhok (the Tver region) with financial support from Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank
The products of the factory with the capacity of 500,000 cubic m are used in the production of wooden frame-panel buildings. VEB allotted 20.7 bln roubles ($345m) for the project.
OSB production line is the largest in Russia. 50% of the total volume of production will be sold on the interior market, 50% will be exported to Europe, Asia, Australia, the UAE and the USA.
Pre-fabricated wooden frame-panel houses will also be produced at the factory, 125 houses a year.
The expected budgetary efficiency of the project is over 13 bln roubles (over $216m) for 10 years.
