By the year 2020, Eurocement Group Holding will build a new cement plant on the premises of its asset in Uzbekistan, JSC Akhangarancement, the largest cement producer in the Republic located in the Tashkent region of the country, the holding’s vice president for economy policy and production, Sergey Marchenkov, told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
“We announced a tender to determine a contactor for the project’s engineering, the world’s leading companies are invited to participate in it. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2020.” Sergey Marchenkov said following a session of the intergovernmental commission of Russian and Uzbekistan held in Tashkent.
The project price has not been revealed yet.
According to Marchenkov, construction of a plant producing cement with a capacity of 2,4 million tons per year is implemented within the framework of a large-scale modernization of enterprises owned by Eurocement Group.
