The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is considering FIAT’s project for the production of tractors in Russia, General Director for Russia and Belarus of CNH Industrial (incorporated in FIAT group), Fabrizio Cepollina, said during the Italian-Russian business meeting held within the framework of the Russian investment forum in Sochi.
“Last year we decided to increase the volume of investment. In June last year, we presented a special investment project for the production of tractors on the premises of the existing plant... Now the proposal is under consideration, by the Russian Ministry of Industry as well, and I think that the outcome will be positive,” he said.
Fabrizio Cepollina also noted that “recently the company made another proposal: there are additional opportunities for technologies’ exchange, it concerns the production of innovative engines”.
