Re-sale housing prices saw this winter a dramatic growth of 27.7% in Toronto area, Canada, The Star reports. Last month the price reached $875,983, compared to the previous period last year, and $105,238 more than in January.
According to the data provided by the Toronto Real Estate Board, its benchmarked price index rose 23.8% year over year last month.
Detached home prices were in bigger demand and went up 32% in the Toronto region.
There was a 5.7-percent rise in home sales, reaching 8,014 homes, what is approximately 500 homes more than a year ago.
One of the most popular regions was Durham with a 28-percent increase.
