The new draft law on the budget of the United States provides for the allocation of over $4 billion to the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico, the Associated Press reports.
The document clarifies that it is planned to allocate $1.5 billion in 2017, and another $2.6 will be spent in 2018. Officially, the draft budget will be published on the 16th of March.
Over the course of his first press conference as the elected U.S. President, which was held on the 11th of January, Donald Trump said that the United States would launch the construction of a fencing on the border with Mexico.
Apart from that, according to a study of the American Center for Immigration Studies, the wall construction on the U.S.-Mexico border will allow the country to save $64 billion over ten years.
