The press office of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs published an appeal to Kiev on its official website.
According to the document, the French Ministry calls on the Ukrainian authorities to lift the transport blockade, which Kiev imposed on Donbass, the country’s eastern province controlled by pro-Russian rebels.
“France is very concerned by the decision of the Ukrainian government adopted on the 15th of March, to impose a temporary ban on the transportation of goods in the east of the country. We call on the Ukrainian authorities to continue their actions in calling off the blockade of railway tracks along the whole line of contact”, the message published to the website reads.
Apart from that, the French Ministry asked Moscow and Kiev to make every effort to implement the Minsk agreements.
