The former head of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine, Natalie Jaresko, was appointed Executive Director of the Council for Financial Management and Control in Puerto Rico, the ex-Minister wrote on her Facebook page.
The Puerto Rico’s Council for Financial Management and Control is primary responsible for evaluation and approval of the annual budget, as well as of a plan for restoration of financial stability, which is being developed by the country’s government. In addition, the Council is assigned to render assistance in debt restructuring.
“As an Executive Director of the Board, I will be responsible for developing the strategy and overseeing its implementation, while simultaneously collaborating with all stakeholders, in particular, public and private sectors in the United States and Puerto Rico, the media and the public,” Natalie Jaresko specified.
