Residents of Germany are strongly interested in the purchase of real estate on the southern coast of the Crimea, as well as in spending their leisure time on the Peninsula, according to Andreas Maurer, Chairman of the Die Linke party branch in the town of Quakenbrück in Lower Saxony.
However, Andreas Maurer specified that there was no point in expecting a mass transfer of Germans to the Peninsula.
“We got acquainted with the situation on the real estate market — we have looked at apartments, visited construction sites, examined the land. Upon arrival, people ask us questions, whether there is a possibility to buy an apartment there for holiday. I am sure that there will be no mass transfer, but there is a huge potential in terms of buying a property at sea,” the German politician said.
