This morning a fire truck, having left a garage, mowed down a group of women walking along a pedestrian crossing near Domodedovo airport in Moscow, Russia.
As Construction.RU was told by the press office of regional traffic police, as a result of the terrible accident, one person was killed and seven wounded. At present, the police is working at the scene to establish the circumstances of the accident.
Seven people received injuries of various degree of severity and were immediately taken to a hospital as emergency doctors arrived. All of them, including the deceased woman, are employees of Domodedovo airport.
According to the preliminary version, most likely, the fire truck’s driver for some reason pressed on the gas pedal instead of the brake one. However, the version of technical failure of the vehicle is not ruled out.
