The date of the completion of Great Wall Motors plant located in “Uzlovaya” industrial park in the Russian region of Tula has been postponed to the year 2018, the regional Economic Development Minister, Grigory Lavrukhin, announced today at a press conference.
Now the foundation and steel structures are under construction at the facility. The business complex is planned to be completed this year.
“The time can be extended, this is to be expected. At the current pace, due to the foundation’s strengthening, the completion of work has been rescheduled from late 2017 to 2018,” Lavrukhin added.
We should remind you that the construction of Great Wall Motors car factory will cost $500 million. In 2014, the corner stone of the future production facility was laid at the construction site.
