The Director General of a Russian defense enterprise under the name of “Salyut” committed suicide in the city of Samara, RIA Novosti was told by its source in law enforcement agencies.
“The head of “Salyut”, Nicholay Porollo, who was 77 years old, committed suicide at his home,” — the agency’s interlocutor said.
According to him, an investigative team is working on the scene. The cause of the suicide has not been established yet.
As a reference, PJSC “Salyut” was established on the basis of the Kuibyshev mechanical factory, set up in December 1941. During the World War II, the plant produced armored shells for IL-2 aircrafts and spare parts for fighters and bombers. Since 2005, the company has been included in “Tactical Missiles” corporation.
