Russia’s largest glass dome with the height of 35 meters will be mounted in “Island of Dream” theme park, which is under construction in the Nagatinskaya flood plain in Moscow.
This statement made on Thursday a member of the Board of Directors of Regions state enterprise, the project’s investor, Amiran Mutsoev.
“The indoor part of the park will be covered with three domes, the area of the central one will amount to 9,000 square meters, while the height will be 35 meters. The other two domes will cover an area of 10,000 square meters in total”, — Amiran Mutsoev said.
According to him, the central dome of “Island of Dream” will become the most complex and modern engineering structure of its class — it will be the largest glass dome in Russia built upon a technology of glazed metallic grid covering.
“The project also envisages the use of energy efficient technologies — installation of the air recovery and heat pumps. The climate system of the domes is designed so that snow does not accumulate on the surface, and there will be special drainage chutes to drain the condensate,” he added.
