Russian scientists from the Perm University (PGNIU) have created a foam, which when burning does not emit toxic substances, a representative of this institution told Construction.RU on Tuesday.

According to him, apart from that, the new generation material is able to fade in fires by itself, due to special additives in its composition.

In the new foam, toxic substances, combustion of which results in death, are blocked with a mixture of magnesium hydroxide and calcium carbonate in amounts of 3-6%. That is, it can become the basis for mass production of safe building materials.

This development has been patented and is included in Russia’s list of promising inventions of 2016, as having a higher technical level compared with its global analogs.
