A new resident of Free port of Vladivostok will build a marine passenger terminal with a pier for cruise ships in the port of Korsakov situated in the Sakhalin region, the press office of the Ministry of Russian Far East Development said on Wednesday.




The investor plans to inject nearly 3 billion rubles and create 27 jobs. The complex is scheduled to be put into operation in 2019.

Within the framework of the project, a pier with the length of 300 meters and the width of 30 meters will be built in the port waters. The facility is designed to host cruise and passenger vessels. The new structure will be a natural extension of the existing south pier of Korsakov port.
