In 2016, the volume of housing construction in the Crimea has increased by 61%, up to 163,400 square meters, compared to the previous year, the head of the Construction Ministry of Russia, Mikhail Menn, said on Friday at the Yalta international economic forum.

The share of apartment houses accounted for 57% of the total volume of housing built in the Republic. All in all, in 2016, 285,500 square meters of housing have been put in operation in the Crimea, what is 13% higher than a year before, the Minister noted.
