Today in Paris at the Quai Branly, a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the Russian Orthodox spiritual and cultural center was held.

As noted by the Russian Ambassador to France, Alexander Orlov, a similar celebration was held 119 years ago when the first stone was laid at the construction site which later became a tourist attraction in Paris, the Pont Alexandre III.
We will remind you that the orthodox center project unites the present with historical tradition, and the architectural image of the future buildings will be a symbol of hospitability.
Russia obtained the construction license at the end of December, 2013. The center will be on the site acquired by the Russian President's executive officer in March, 2010. The end of the construction work is planned for the end of 2016 / the beginning of 2017.
