At the request of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pravitelstvo of Russia has introduced a state program for the development of Crimea construction of medical centers in Simferopol and Yalta.

As reported on the site of the Cabinet of Ministers, the multipurpose medical center for 855 patients at the clinical hospital of Semashko in Simferopol will be put into operation in 2018 at a cost of 9 billion rubles. Creation of a versatile medical center at the first city hospital of Yalta is to be another large project. Doctors from all of Crimea will retrain there. It will be put into operation in September of next year.
