Speaking at an opening ceremony of Moscow Urban Forum on Thursday, Mayor of the capital city of Russia, Sergey Sobyanin, said that over 70 delegations attended the event.
“Over 70 delegations from dozens of countries have attended the forum”, - said Moscow Mayor.
Metropolis development increasingly encourage attention, whereas Moscow is ready not just to adopt experience of other countries, but to share its own one as well, added the official.
Also, Sergey Sobyanin stressed impossibility to develop megacities “without megaprojects and megatechnologies”. Local solutions provide little effect, he added.
“It necessary to make decisions, which concern not just one or a dozen of people, but millions of people”, - said Mayor, having emphasized that for implementation of such projects, consensus, dialogue and compromise are required.
Moscow Urban Forum is an international conference in the area of urban construction, architecture, economy and strategic urban planning. The event has been organized since 2011.
