On the 28th of July, Russian President Vladimir Putin, issued a decree removing Sergey Menyailo from office of Sevastopol governor and appointing him Presidential Envoy to the Siberian Federal District.




According to the information published on the Kremlin website, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, the former Deputy Minister of Russian Industry and Commerce was appointed an interim governor of Sevastopol.

Also, Vladimir Putin dismissed Presidential Envoy in the North-Western Federal District, Vladimir Bulavin. The same day Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, appointed him Head of the Federal Customs Service.

The former Head of the regional department of the FSB, major general Yevgeny Zinichev, became governor of the Kaliningrad region.

Governor of the Kirov region, Nikita Belykh, who was recently arrested by the FSB on a charge of bribery in large amount, was dismissed today. The office was taken by Igor Vasilyev, ex-Head of Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr).

Apart from that, on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin integrated the Crimean Federal District into the Southern Federal District and appointed Vladimir Ustinov Head of the Southern Federal District.

The same day Russian ambassador to Ukraine, Mikhail Zurabov, and Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District, Sergey Melikov, were dismissed. The latter became Deputy Director of the Russian Guard.
