In the nearest future, three large water reservoirs are required to be built in The Republic of Crimea, Deputy President of the republican State Committee for Water Services and Amelioration, Andrey Lisovsky, told reporters on Thursday.
The first one, Sokolinovskoye water reservoir, will be erected in the Bakhchisaray district.
Simultaneously, construction of water reservoirs in Alushta and Krasnogvardeisk districts is being negotiated.
At present, Crimea is supplied with water erratically, that is why in most cases there is no problem with water delivery to the population in the areas, where a reservoir can be built. However, some regions need additional source of water, but have no possibility to build it.
The second reservoir is planned within the framework of the Federal Target Program, but it requires private investments.
