Moscow region. Krasnogorsk. Our special correspondent Alexei Nevsky.
On September 21st a meeting of the CEO of KNAUF Group in Russia and CIS Janis Kraulis with journalists of the leading construction editions of Russia took place in KNAUF HQ in Russia in Ilyinskoye highway, 25.
The meeting was held on the eve of a press-tour to the plant “KNAUF GYPSUM Kuban”. The top-manager answered the questions both about Krasnodar region and production condition at other plants.
In particular, he remarked that the company does not increase the price for its production in spite of the growing production prime cost, nor does it decrease the social profile this year. Economic development plans of the company are not going to alter: the plant in Samara will be constructed and put in operation. “We also plan to buy working productions, - Kraulis stressed. – But still there is the optimization of expenditures at all plants”.
Answering the journalists’ question about the development of construction industry in the nearest prospect, the CEO answered explicitly: from his point of view, the market condition will stay unchangeable for two years, the construction materials production will decrease by 15-20% this year in Russia, and by 10-15% next year. And consequently there will turn up a situation when production capacities surpass the demand. But he believes in Russia and the Russian people, and the production will grow for sure.
