Real estate and other property of Russian citizens residing in Crimea is being seized due to loans taken previously from Ukrainian banks.
This is what the president of the City Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, told reporters in Simferopol. Moreover, according to him, property is being seized also from those who have fully paid off their debt through collection agencies.
There are dozens of such examples. Ukrainian banks don’t write off the debts of the residents of Crimea, even after their repayment.
“This process will not be solved legally, unless it is settled at an intergovernmental level”, concluded Konstantinov.
To remind you, delegates from the Crimean Parliament have already urged the Federal Assembly of Russia to stop the operations of the collection agencies, whose activities have turned into a criminal business.
