As has become known, FSB agents detained an Assistant Prosecutor of the Crimean city of Feodosia as he was accepting a bribe of 1.5 m roubles.
The operation was carried out on the 30th of May, and a criminal case has now been initiated against the official, the press office of the regional Investigative Committee told Construction.ru on Tuesday. The Assistant Prosecutor is charged with attempted large-scale fraud and abuse of his position, under the Russian Criminal Code Article №159.
According to the investigation, the suspect offered a building developer of multi-apartment houses the chance to settle issues related to violations during the commissioning of 9 incomplete objects.
In exchange for this, the Assistant Prosecutor demanded 24.7 m roubles and five items of real estate.
At present, the case is under the personal control of the Prosecutor General of the Crimean Republic, Natalia Poklonskaya, who has dismissed the suspect for oath-breaking. The investigation is underway.
